When touring in the Southern part of Namibia, take this scenic route from Noordoewer to Rosh Pinah. (C13 ) It will take you past the Grape Production Town of Aussenkehr. These Namibian grapes are exported to be the first in the European market, just before Christmas. Farm workers of the Grape Farms come from as far as Owamboland and build their temporary houses with reeds from the Orange River. You will enjoy the emptiness of this rugged mountain landscape, where the Orange River are the source of life in this part of the desert.
